Families in the Forest

We have been bringing families into the forests of the Blackdown Hills for more than ten years.  We think it's important for everyone to have space to connect with nature in these tech-centred days. And we want to help the young ones to find a love and passion for all things wild and natural....

A family session in the woods to play, wild walk through the forest, have a campfire, play games and do something crafty.  The mud kitchen and wild play space are always open.

We encourage families to come with curious minds.  Based
on the ethos of Forest School, we offer a space where parents and children can explore together, use the natural resources of the woods and have a go with tools as appropriate to age and abilities, and staff supervision!

The more you do, the more you will feel at home and build the experience that enables you and your children to play freely. And we all need to play....

We'll provide hot water and a cuppa for grown-ups.  Please bring packed lunches.  Wear old clothes, boots and bring a change of clothes if your child likes to get very muddy or the weather is wet.
