Young Saplings

Parent/Carer & Toddler Group Forest School (for children aged 0-5 year olds)

Friday Mornings 9.30 - 11.00am

£8 per child & £5/sibling (babes-in-arms free)

Based on Forest School principles, these year round sessions support child development, nature connection, social interaction and good old fashioned play.

Each week there is a seasonal theme and we follow the interests of the children.  For parents or carers it's a chance to be outdoors, with like-minded people, in a non-judgemental setting.

Our base in Young Wood, on the Blackdown Hills near Taunton in Somerset has its own facilities - compost loos with baby changing space, car park and camp kitchen.   Sessions take place in all weathers so that children can get the full benefits of being outdoors with shelter in our roundhouse or under tarps on rainy days.

Led by experienced Forest School leader Sarah Holdway helped by our volunteers who are all DBS checked and have relevant experience.

We are fully booked, however, please get in touch if you would like to go on the waiting list as children move on to other places or pre-schools - contact Sarah for the waiting list sarah@nerochewoodlanders.org.
